Frequently Asked Questions:

What is the difference between Botox and Filler?
Botox is a neurotoxin that relaxes the muscles that cause wrinkles when they move. When the muscles are relaxed, the wrinkles soften and heal over time.
Filler is a clear gel made from hyaluronic acid (a chemical already in our skin) injected under the skin to mimic the volume we lose to aging, illness, and stress. It can also be used to enhance our natural features and bring them into balance with the rest of of the face such as lips, jawline and chin.
What is the difference between filler and Radiesse?
Both filler (made from hyaluronic acid) and Bellafill (made from bovine collagen and PMMA, microscopic spheres of polyester) are used to replace volume. The main difference is filler is temporary (lasting anywhere from 6-24 months), whereas Bellafill is semi-permanent. Filler mimics the fat pads we lose as we age, whereas Bellafill builds back our own volume by stimulating collagen and elastin production in our skin.
We tell clients that one does not replace the other. Bellafill is great for replacing volume all over like painting with a broad paintbrush. Filler fine-tunes your results like painting with a detailed brush. Together you can get long-lasting, natural results.
How long does filler last?
Everyone is different. It depends on the individual metabolism of the client, the area of the face, the filler and amount used, and the technique used. Filler placed deep to mimic bone structure lasts 12-24 months such as cheeks, jawline, chin and rhinoplasty. Filler placed more superficial lasts 6-18 months such as lips and smile lines. Results last the longest and look the best when you balance the entire face slowly over a few sessions.
Bellafill is FDA-approved to last up to 5 years before needing more.
Does it hurt?
Botox is a very small needle. You’ll feel a small pinch and slight burning sensation that goes away quickly. The first visit is often the hardest when you don’t know what to expect. We have tools that can help distract you during the pokes.
Filler and Bellafill use slightly larger needles to place the product. The sensation can feel like a quick sting, dull ache, mild pressure, or just an odd feeling. All our filler contains lidocaine that helps ease the discomfort as we’re placing the product.
We use topical-numbing for lip filler.
Will I look fake or "done"?
Not at all! It takes a LOT of filler to get unnaturally large lips, cheeks, etc.
Filler done right will (after the initial swelling) help you look rested, refreshed, and younger. People will think you look better but they can’t figure out why.
You will have swelling and probably bruising with any filler. This is very normal, especially with lip filler. But after the swelling subsides, you will look natural and hydrated.
What kind of facial is the Hydrodermabrasion facial?

Our facial is most similar to the brand name HydraFacial. We use a solution to infuse and hydrate your skin, combined with exfoliation tips & suction. Our facial won’t leave possible micro-tears in your skin like DiamondGlow, flower grains, salt grains, or the Oxygeneo pods. At the end of your facial, you can SEE the congestion from your pores and dead skin floating around the solution. Our clients find it highly satisfying.

You can also add a radiofrequency treatment that feels like a warm massage on your face. The heat stimulates your skin to build collagen, strengthening and improving your skin.

How much will I peel with the Restoration Peel? Does it burn?
Everyone is different, but most people experience mild peeling around their nose, mouth and forehead. Many experience no peeling at all. The Restoration Peel removes microscopic layers of your skin, helping its natural turnover process to reveal new healthy skin underneath. It is unlikely you’ll experience heavy peeling. Most clients can wear light makeup or tinted sunscreen to cover the peeling and redness.
Some clients are comfortable throughout the session and some experience a mild to moderate burning sensation that goes away in a few minutes to a few hours. Some clients get red from the treatment and others don’t.
